Job Description

•    Provide training, customer service and direction to locations that utilize the materials, products, or services. 
•    Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and distributing materials, equipment, and           supplies.  
•    Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability             and terms of sales.  
•    Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.   
•    Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.                   Maintain records of goods ordered and received. 
•    Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.   
•    Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. 
•    Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
•    Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills. 
•    Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property. 
•    Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility. 
•    Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment,               intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and       learning. 
•    Attends all required staff training opportunities.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and                         experience 
•   Minimum of three years of progressive work experience managing purchasing and procurement functions            from requisition through disbursement cycle including negotiating contracts.
