Job Description
- Provides assistance to the Center Dentist on all procedures including the ADA Class II clinical exam and radiological procedures
- Assists the Center Dentist in providing preventive dental education and 24-hour emergency services
- Assists the Center Dentist in coordination and integration of dental health program with other health components and center activities
- Schedules and maintains the dental priority system
- Maintains dental equipment and supplies to assure proper function and operation
- Maintains compliance with policies and procedures of infection control
- Maintain policy with disposable needle and needle stick
- Performs quality assurance record audits
- Maintains dental records, lab records, and dental statistics for dental productivity and monthly utilization reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Three to six months related experience and/or training is required
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificate from a Dental Assistant Program and X-ray certification
- Three to six months related experience/training required
