Job Description

  • Provides assistance to the Center Dentist on all procedures including the ADA Class II clinical exam and radiological procedures
  • Assists the Center Dentist in providing preventive dental education and 24-hour emergency services
  • Assists the Center Dentist in coordination and integration of dental health program with other health components and center activities
  • Schedules and maintains the dental priority system
  • Maintains dental equipment and supplies to assure proper function and operation
  • Maintains compliance with policies and procedures of infection control
  • Maintain policy with disposable needle and needle stick
  • Performs quality assurance record audits
  • Maintains dental records, lab records, and dental statistics for dental productivity and monthly utilization reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Three to six months related experience and/or training is required
  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certificate from a Dental Assistant Program and X-ray certification
  • Three to six months related experience/training required
