Job Description

Epworth Richmond is seeking compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurses for our Cardiac Services team in permanent full-time or part-time capacity to make a meaningful impact on patients undergoing life‑changing cardiac care. 

You will be responsible for caring for cardiac medical patients and patients who have undergone interventional, surgical and structural heart procedures.  Cardiac Services comprises of 62 beds across two wards, including 10 Coronary Care Unit beds.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing high quality nursing care and experience to patients
  • Utilising a reflective, critical thinking and evidence based approach to the clinical care of patients
  • Working collaboratively with fellow members of the multidisciplinary team

To be successful in this role:

As an experienced cardiac nurse, you are passionate about patient centred care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes.  You are a strong communicator, with a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with colleagues, Visiting Medical Officers, patients and their families.  Excellent with your time management and organisation skills, you can prioritise effectively to manage competing demands. 

You will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • A minimum of 18 months experience working on an acute cardiac ward
  • Excellent clinical skills in caring for cardiology, cardiac interventional and cardiac surgical patients
  • Competency and confidence in managing acute situations

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $82,236 - $103,280 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
