Job Description
In this 12 month fixed-term (Parental Leave cover), full-time role, based in East Melbourne, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing early and late phase industry sponsored clinical trials. You will be part of the Epworth’s Haematology Clinical Trials Unit and report to the Haematology Clinical Trials Manager.
You will make an impact by:
- Coordinating a wide range of blood cancer clinical studies from commencement to close out, in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and other relevant guidelines.
- Recruiting and evaluating the suitability of participants for enrolment in trials and managing their participation, treatment, education and care throughout the study.
- Managing the research study files, documentation, reports and lab work for each trial.
- Working closely and liaising with sponsors, investigators, nurses and other professionals both within the clinical trials team and externally
To be successful in this role, you will...
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical research coordinator role within a hospital or pharmaceuticals setting.
- Be highly organised with a proven ability to prioritise tasks in a busy clinical research environment
- Be a natural communicator
- Have a caring, supportive and empathetic approach, together with patience and the ability to listen to patients.
- Be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team
- Be able to build effective working relationships with your colleagues, key stakeholders and sponsors.
