Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Physiotherapy team in the acute hospital at Epworth Richmond! This is a 20 hour per week, part-time position (Monday to Friday) that will involve assisting the acute physiotherapy service with the treatment of patients on the orthopaedic, neuroscience, cardio-respiratory, medical and oncology wards.
The AHA role will support the treating physiotherapy team by undertaking a broad range of tasks to ensure patient wellbeing and safety, attainment of therapy goals and prevention of functional decline.

You will make an impact by:
- Providing a high standard of patient care
- Ensuring safe practice at all times
- Aligning with department prioritisation and clinical care guidelines
- Participation in clinical handovers based on the ISOBAR framework
- Documentation and reporting in-line with organisational standards
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience as an Allied Health Assistant and/or completed a Certificate IV AHA and/or other relevant university qualification
- Weekly availability 0900-1300, Monday-Friday
- Strong customer service and general people skills
- Excellent administration, time management and organisation skills
- The ability to take initiative and have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work
- Previous experience working in a Hospital setting is desirable
