Epworth Eastern has an amazing opportunity to join our wonderful team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis as a Grade 4 Theatre Technician reporting to the Grade 5 Theatre Technician.

Our dynamic team is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience with a focus on safety first.   You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, patient care, handling equipment, and transportation services while contributing to the overall performance of the operating suite.

You will make an impact by:

• Assisting clinicians and team members with patient preparation
• Preparing and maintaining operating suite equipment
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the theatre runs efficiently and effectively.
• Mentor novice theatre technicians to help support and grow their career.

To be successful in this role:

We are looking for someone who is a good communicator with a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. You should be professional in your work, have a strong attention to detail, and be quick to learn and adapt.

• Completed a Certificate IV Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Support)
• Victorian Working with Children Check
• Excellent customer-focused skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 24 months clinical experience as a Theatre Technician
• Willingness and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Professional work ethic who is self-motivated and self-directed

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 15 theatres and (including a hybrid theatre) expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. The annual salary range for Theatre Technicians – AUD $69,799 - $70,910 + super + entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for part-time).
