Join Epworth Rehabilitation Richmond – Patient Transport Officers (Permanent Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities)
Continuing Care & Support Services

Epworth Rehabilitation Richmond is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Qualified Patient Transport Officers to join our Continuing Care & Support Services team. We have exciting opportunities available on both a Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time basis.

In this vital role, you will play an integral part in supporting the patient journey by ensuring safe and efficient transport between hospital departments and facilities. You’ll work within a collaborative and professional environment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients every day.

This role will be responsible for the transportation of  interhospital Epworth patient transfers and key referring health care organisations  such as  Alfred and RMH.  The role will also be responsible for ensuring  our  transport service systems and processes align with the Department of Health Clinical Practise and Safety Regulations and Protocols  as well as  Epworth policies and Protocols.  You will have a direct line report to the Associate Director of Clinical Services- Rehabilitation and will form part of the broader team across other Epworth sites.   A dedicated Epworth Non Emergency Patient Transport vehicle is used  to transfer patients  between  sites and you will work closely with key clinicians to ensure patient safety  and quality care for  our patients,  as "Every Patient Matters" as we pride our selves on this.  

You will make an impact by:

  • Hold a certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport
  • Must have a victorian Drivers License 
  • Have excellent Communication and Customer service skills
  • Demonstrate and adhere to safe work practices at all times
  • Adhere to work procedures and be willing to embrace change
  • Be committed to the delivery of safe patient centred care

  • Be able to work within a team across all levels 
  • Be passionate about the work you do everyday
  • Be able to prioritise work demands
  • Be able to transfer  patient care safely referring to documentation and ISOBAR handover
