Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist within the Epworth Rehabilitation team! 

In this fixed term parental leave cover (3-days) role, you will focus on the Occupational Therapy functional assessment and treatment of clients with a range of cognitive, behavioural and emotional issues, primarily the result of traumatic and other acquired brain injuries. Your case-mix will be diverse and require you to work closely with professionals from other disciplines.

Provided with a laptop and phone, you will have the ability to work remotely, with flexible start and finish locations as well as from our office in Richmond. Our team are only required to attend on site once per week/fortnight.

To be successful in this role you:

  • Are a skilled and personable Occupational Therapist, looking to complement a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
  • Possess skills in Occupational Therapy functional assessment and intervention with clients experiencing a range of neurological and mental health conditions
  • Are proficient in assessment, management, and discharge planning of rehabilitation patients
  • Demonstrate accountability with a strong, supportive and engaging communication style
  • Are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Preferably have experience working in a rehabilitation setting

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
