Job Description
We have a part-time opportunity within our Occupational Therapy team. You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the OT team in the delivery of patient focused rehabilitation programs across two inpatient wards and our outpatient department.
You will make an impact by:
- Working with patients under the direction of Occupational Therapists to assist with retraining personal, domestic and community activities of daily living
- Setting up and preparing for individual and group therapy sessions
- Participating in individual and group OT sessions
- Maintaining, monitoring and ordering OT equipment
- Undertaking departmental and administrative tasks, together with the opportunity to take the lead on IT tasks for the department (if this is of interest)
To be successful in this role…
You have strong customer service and general people skills and enjoy collaborating with team members and patients to create an exceptional patient experience. Excellent with your administration, time management and organisation skills, you take initiative and have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
You will have:
- Previous experience as an Allied Health Assistant, preferably within OT
- Completion of Certificate IV AHA
- Previous experience working in a Hospital setting is desirable
- Demonstrated administration / clerical skills
