Job Description

Perform administrative tasks associated with a first mortgage portfolio and investor owned loans including processing payments and payoffs, management of tax and insurance escrow accounts, and GL management along with assisting members via phone, email and in person.

Essential Functions

  • Process daily functions including posting payments; payoff requests; member inquiries via phone, email and in person.
  • Process Arm, Balloon, and principal reduction modifications including compliance to investor guidelines and internal procedures.
  • Process PMI activation and cancellation requests for all loan types including accurately assessing and calculating required value for PMI removal adhering to investor guidelines and internal procedures. Ability to explain complexities of PMI removal criteria to members.
  • Monitors unapplied funds report and monitors and facilitates the transfer of loans from Encompass to Affinity Edge.
  • Generate letters for NSF funds and incorrect checks. Ensure new loans and paid off loans are set up or cancelled in Lereta for tax tracking.
  • Sets up new loans & monitors existing loans with insurance tracking vendor for insurance tracking; monitors insurance due report.
  • Daily processing of homeowner's insurance billing.
  • Researches and obtains appropriate file information for paid loans; processes satisfactions, submits for e-recording. Processes member paid loan documentation.
  • Daily monitoring and tracking of all MERS reports for actionable items. Monitoring and balancing PMI, Force Placed Insurance, and Recording Fee GLs.
  • Sets up and maintains automatic transfers for mortgage payments (internal and external).
  • Performs interim escrow analysis when required or requested. Supports escrow analysis annual- cycle. Ability to explain complexities of escrow analysis to members.
  • Assists with electronic transfer of information to Application Extender including automatic transfer requests, payoff requests, payoff & modification documentation, balloon notices, general member correspondence, insurance correspondence, escrow closeout, payment reversals, insurance checks, PMI cancelations, and rate and payment changes.
  • Review flood insurance policies for acceptance to current regulatory requirements or need for further review by compliance officer.
  • Responsible for monthly processing of mortgage insurance payments to all PMI vendors including ongoing communication with vendor reps. Collection and processing of homeowner insurance claim checks.
  • Cross sells credit union products and services. 

Qualifications

  • Post high school education or degree preferred
  • 2+ years mortgage, banking or loan servicing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Basic accounting and GL management knowledge is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office).
  • Working Knowledge of AffinityEdge is preferred.
  • Bondable.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability and desire to maintain quality of service while performing multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to build strong customer/member relationships and delivering customer/member-centric solutions.
  • Action Oriented: Proven track record of taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Additional Information

PAY RANGE: $22-$26/hour (S11), plus 5% annual target bonus.
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
