Job Description
Position Summary & Objective
The Industrial Manufacturing Estimator is primarily responsible for the preparation of cost estimates for marketing proposals. They will communicate technical and processing information for the procurement of manufacturing related services.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Preparation of cost estimates
- Review customer inquiry documents and compile detailed cost estimates for labor and materials needed to complete specified work scope(s)
- Select appropriate processes, decide the sequence of operations and determine the number of hours needed to manufacture parts within contract specifications
- Creation of a written detailed technical scope of supply to accompany the cost estimate
- Communicate specification, quality delivery, and processing information to the purchasing function for use in the procurement of manufacturing related services
- Strong engineering drawing interpretation skills
- Ability to visualize and comprehend all aspects of manufacturing equipment and tooling, understand interrelationships between factors affecting a given situation
- Satisfy requirements of ISO Quality Standard as it relates to these functions
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications, data and track modern manufacturing trends
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

- Critical analysis skills
Required Education and Experience
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mechanical Engineer P.E. a plus
- Word processing and Excel skills required
- Experience with Primavera P6 data entry is a plus
