Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned Head of Collections (f/m/x) to lead and scale our debt collection function. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, integrate new products into the collections workflow, and drive efficiency through automation and AI. You will ensure compliance across markets, continuously improve processes, and provide transparent performance reporting to senior management.
- Lead & grow our international Collections & AR team – mentor, inspire, and develop top talent
- Own day-to-day collections and recovery processes, driving consistent results
- Analyse & act on payment performance data to unlock strategic improvements
- Shape the end-to-end collections journey for new products
- Drive efficiency & innovation through automation and AI in collaboration with Tech
- Create strategies that boost payment performance and recovery rates
- Report & influence senior leadership with clear performance insights
- Document & ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and process standards
Qualifications
- Higher education degree, ideally in finance or business management
- Several years of experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Proven team leadership experience within retail banking, fintech, or a comparable industry
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Hands‑on, execution‑driven mentality
- Strong communication skills with confidence in presenting KPIs to senior leadership
- Initial experience applying AI in operational processes (preferred)
- Fluent in German (C1/C2 Level)
