Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

Cloud Platform Engineering 

  • Design, implement, and operate enterprise-scale AWS environment. 

  • Build secure, highly available, and scalable cloud infrastructure following AWS Well-Architected Framework principles. 

  • Manage cloud networking, identity, security controls, and governance standards. 

  • Support platform modernization and cloud-native adoption initiatives. 

Container Platform Engineering 

  • Design, deploy, and manage production OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters. 

  • Implement cluster architecture, networking, storage, security, monitoring, and lifecycle management. 

  • Troubleshoot platform-level issues across containerized workloads. 

  • Drive platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. 

Infrastructure Automation 

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform. 

  • Build reusable infrastructure modules, templates, and automation frameworks. 

  • Establish infrastructure standards, governance, and version control practices. 

  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and operational processes. 

DevOps and CI/CD Enablement 

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. 

  • Support software development teams with build, test, release, and deployment tooling. 

  • Improve developer experience through self-service platform capabilities. 

  • Integrate platform services into modern software delivery workflows. 

Linux and Automation Engineering 

  • Develop automation scripts and operational tooling using Bash and other scripting languages. 

  • Perform Linux system administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and platform maintenance. 

  • Automate routine operational tasks to improve platform efficiency and reliability. 

Networking and Infrastructure Services 

  • Design and troubleshoot network connectivity across cloud, SaaS services, onprem services. 

  • Configure and manage: 

  • VPCs 

  • Routing 

  • Load Balancers 

  • DNS 

  • Firewalls 

  • VPNs 

  • Security Groups 

  • Network Policies 

  • Diagnose complex application and infrastructure connectivity issues. 

Security Engineering 

  • Implement security best practices across infrastructure, platforms, and software delivery pipelines. 

  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD processes and platform services. 

  • Manage: 

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) 

  • Secrets Management 

  • Vulnerability Management 

  • Security Scanning Tools 

  • Compliance Controls 

  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure platform compliance and risk mitigation. 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience 

Cloud & Infrastructure 

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud and platform engineering. 

  • Deep hands-on expertise with AWS services including: 

  • VPC 

  • EC2 

  • EKS/OpenShift 

  • IAM 

  • Route53 

  • ALB/NLB 

  • CloudWatch 

  • S3 

  • RDS 

  • Security Services 

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and operational best practices. 

OpenShift / Kubernetes 

  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing production OpenShift clusters. 

  • Strong knowledge of: 

  • Kubernetes architecture 

  • Operators 

  • Networking 

  • Storage 

  • Security 

  • Cluster lifecycle management 

  • Experience troubleshooting large-scale container platforms. 

Infrastructure as Code 

  • Strong Terraform experience. 

  • Experience creating reusable modules and managing multi-environment deployments. 

  • Familiarity with GitOps and infrastructure automation practices. 

Linux & Automation 

  • Strong Linux administration experience. 

  • Advanced Bash scripting skills. 

  • Experience automating operational processes and platform management tasks. 

DevOps Tooling 

Experience with one or more of: 

  • AWS Developer Tools 

  • GitHub Actions 

  • GitLab CI/CD 

  • Jenkins 

  • ArgoCD 

  • Nexus Repository 

  • SonarQube 

  • Artifact Management Platforms 

Networking 

Strong understanding of: 

  • TCP/IP 

  • DNS 

  • Routing 

  • Load Balancing 

  • Reverse Proxies 

  • Firewalls 

  • TLS/SSL 

  • VPN Connectivity 

  • Kubernetes/OpenShift Networking 

Security 

Hands-on experience with: 

  • IAM and RBAC 

  • Secrets Management (Hashicorp Vault) 

  • Key Management (HSM, CloudHSM, KMS, Hashicorp Vault) 

  • Container Security 

  • Vulnerability Management 

  • Security Scanning Tools 

  • DevSecOps Practices 

  • Compliance and Governance Controls 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • AWS Professional or Specialty Certifications. 

  • Red Hat OpenShift Certification. 

  • Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS). 

  • Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, OpenShift Service Mesh). 

  • Experience with Observability platforms such as: 

  • Prometheus 

  • Grafana 

  • ELK/OpenSearch
