Job Description

Within Endava’s TMT segment, our Telecommunications group partners with operators, infrastructure providers, and digital service providers navigating one of the most complex technology landscapes in the industry - spanning RAN modernisation and Open RAN, BSS/OSS transformation, telco cloud, and the convergence of connectivity with AI and edge computing. We are seeking a best-in-class Industry Solutions Director to shape and deliver Endava’s solution strategy across the Telco vertical on a global scale.

 

As a senior leader, you will define strategically differentiated, commercially viable solutions aligned with evolving operator needs - from network transformation and 5G monetisation to digital customer experience and next-generation service platforms. You will act as a trusted strategic advisor and hands-on solution leader during major pursuits, co-creating compelling, deliverable solutions with internal teams and external stakeholders. Your leadership ensures end-to-end solution integrity, balancing innovation with feasibility while championing the repeatability and reusability of successful patterns to scale impact across markets.

 

You will contribute strategic direction on capability development and service innovation, ensuring Endava remains future-ready and competitive in a rapidly evolving telco ecosystem. Collaboration is central - you’ll work in close partnership with Sales, Delivery, Practices, and Capability leaders to align go-to-market efforts and pursuit strategies. Building strong, trust-based relationships with senior clients enables you to reframe complex challenges into meaningful transformation. This role is ideal for a strategic specialist who bridges deep telecommunications domain knowledge with strong technical credibility, and who can operate confidently at the intersection of network technology, digital innovation, and commercial outcomes.
 

Solution Strategy & Capability

  • Define 3–5 go-to-market solutions per year aligned to the Telco vertical strategy - spanning Open RAN, BSS/OSS transformation, 5G monetisation, private networks and network slicing, and cloud-native service platforms.
  • Partner with Practices and Alliances to build future-ready capabilities around AI-driven network operations (including RIC), telco cloud migration (NFV-to-CNF), edge computing, and 6G readiness.
  • Maintain a clear backlog of market-informed solution gaps, monitoring trends across operators, MVNOs, towercos, O-RAN ecosystem vendors, and NEPs.
  • Champion repeatability and reuse of successful solution patterns to scale impact across markets and clients.
  • Contribute to annual vertical planning and refresh solution themes quarterly.

Pre-Sales & Pursuit Leadership

  • Lead solution shaping on 5+ strategic pursuits per year, ensuring all proposals are technically robust, margin-aligned, and deliverable.
  • Coach pursuit teams to build compelling, win-ready solutions tailored to telco buyers - including CTOs, CIOs, network directors, and digital transformation leads.
  • Drive reuse of IP across proposals to accelerate speed and consistency.
  • Analyse and interpret telecommunications market trends, regulatory shifts, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies - bringing key insights to bear on every pursuit.

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as a strategic trusted advisor to global clients - including mobile and fixed-line operators, converged players, wholesale carriers, and infrastructure providers - shaping transformation and growth strategies.
  • Lead senior-level conversations spanning RAN strategy, BSS/OSS modernisation, network slicing, subscriber experience, IoT enablement, and enterprise connectivity.
  • Reframe client challenges into solution-led opportunity roadmaps, instilling confidence and credibility across C-suite stakeholders.
  • Secure 2+ strategic client references or testimonials based on solution work annually.

Innovation & Market Relevance

  • Embed AI and emerging tech into solution designs where relevant - including AIOps, network intelligence, GenAI-powered customer service, and cloud-native orchestration.
  • Identify and scale at least 1 market-making or cross-industry solution annually.
  • Drive opportunities around 5G enterprise use cases, private networks, Open Gateway/CAMARA API exposure, edge computing, and early-stage 6G research positioning.
  • Run bi-annual solution innovation sprints in collaboration with Practices.

Internal Alignment & Influence

  • Actively participate in pursuit reviews, strategic account growth meetings, win/loss analysis, and deal assurance.
  • Provide feedback to Practices and Service Lines on capability maturity and gaps relevant to the Telco domain.
  • Create and maintain alignment artefacts (e.g. solution catalogues, design patterns, competitive insight frameworks).
  • Partner closely with internal delivery, technology, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 12–15+ years in solution & enterprise architecture, consulting, delivery, or commercial leadership roles within or serving the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven success shaping and selling large, complex solutions to telco operators and service providers in a consulting or IT services context.
  • Deep expertise and established network across the telco ecosystem - operators, RAN/core NEPs, O-RAN vendors, BSS/OSS platforms, and digital service providers.
  • Extensive pre-sales experience and C-level engagement with telco decision-makers; track record of 20%+ portfolio revenue growth.
  • Hands-on leadership during strategic deals, contract structuring, and end-to-end platform builds (architect, build, support & run).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strategic thinking that blends innovation, feasibility, and commercial outcomes within the telecommunications landscape.
  • Strong technical credibility across RAN and core architecture, telco cloud (NFV/CNF), AI/ML, BSS/OSS stacks, and data platforms.
  • Deep understanding of telco domains: Open RAN and RAN disaggregation (including RIC), 5G core/transport, private networks, network slicing, fibre, SD-WAN, digital CX, IoT/enterprise services, and emerging 6G standards.
  • Advanced pre-sales solutioning capability with executive-level presence across C-suite audiences.
  • Familiarity with delivery models, managed service and outcome-based pricing, and account P&L management.
  • Champion of solution excellence culture, reusable IP, and pursuit discipline. Resilient, pragmatic, and hands-on - able to shape strategy and execute in the detail.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MSc, MBA) or equivalent experience preferred.
