Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector (Electrical) to join our port operations team in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive electrical inspections at our port facilities, ensuring all systems and equipment meet stringent safety and regulatory standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our electrical infrastructure while supporting seamless port operations.
- Conduct thorough electrical inspections of port facilities, equipment, and systems to verify compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Test and evaluate electrical systems, components, and installations using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
- Document inspection findings, test results, and observations in detailed reports with clear recommendations
- Identify electrical hazards, deficiencies, and non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Verify that all electrical work meets applicable standards and regulatory requirements specific to port operations
- Maintain organized and accurate inspection records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Collaborate with port operations teams, maintenance personnel, and contractors to address electrical concerns
- Perform follow-up inspections to confirm that corrective actions have been properly implemented
- Stay current with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices relevant to port environments
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to management and relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical inspection, testing, or quality assurance within industrial or port environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting procedures
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety codes and standards applicable to port facilities
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining high standards
- Familiarity with port operations and maritime industry standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Certification in electrical inspection or related field
- Previous experience working in port authority or maritime operations
- Knowledge of international maritime electrical standards
- Experience with electrical compliance audits and regulatory inspections
- Proficiency in inspection management software or digital reporting systems
