Job Description

At Egis, we are shaping the next generation of digital infrastructure across the Middle East and South Asia (MESA). As demand for hyperscale cloud, AI-ready facilities, and mission-critical infrastructure accelerates, we are seeking an exceptional Technical Director – Data Centers to build our  technical design excellence and growth journey.

This is a rare leadership opportunity for a recognized industry expert who has successfully delivered hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission-critical facilities and is ready to influence the region's most strategic digital infrastructure investments.

The Opportunity

You will act as the technical authority for Data Center projects across the MESA region, partnering with global hyperscalers, cloud providers, institutional investors, developers, and government agencies.

You will drive:

  • Technical excellence and design governance
  • Client advisory and strategic consulting
  • Regional capability building and talent development
  • Innovation in sustainability, resilience, and digital delivery
  • Growth of the Data Center practice across multiple markets

What You'll Lead

  • Technical oversight of hyperscale and mission-critical projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Definition and implementation of regional data center design standards and best practices.
  • Strategic client engagement with hyperscale, cloud, colocation, and enterprise customers.
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering leadership across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, ICT, Fire & Sustainability.
  • Technical reviews, design assurance, and risk management.
  • Support for major pursuits, bids, and strategic growth initiatives.

 

Qualifications

A proven industry leader with:

  • 18+ years of engineering consulting and mission-critical experience
  • Deep expertise in Data Center design and delivery
  • Demonstrated success on hyperscale or large-scale colocation facilities
  • Strong knowledge of Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE, NFPA and international standards
  • Track record of leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong business development and client management capability
  • Experience operating across international markets
