Job Description

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled Railway Operations Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the our railway team. The successful candidate will specialize in railway operations simulation, timetable development, and network assessment, utilizing advanced tools such as RailSys and OpenTrack. This role involves optimizing rail operations, ensuring efficient timetables, and conducting network performance analyses to support high-speed, metro, passenger and freight railway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Develop and simulate railway operations using RailSys and OpenTrack to model train movements, capacity, and performance.
  • • Create and optimize timetables for passenger and freight services, ensuring a minimum 95% adherence to scheduled operations.
  • • Conduct network assessments to evaluate infrastructure capacity, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions with a detailed report.
  • • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate simulation results into operational planning, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
  • • Analyze traction power and gradient impacts on freight operations, providing simulation-based recommendations.

 

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
    • • 4+ years of experience in railway operations, with proven expertise in simulation tools (RailSys, OpenTrack) and timetable development.
    • • Strong knowledge of railway network assessment, including capacity planning and performance optimization.
    • • Familiarity with high-speed, metro and freight railway operations.
    • • Excellent analytical skills and ability to produce detailed, actionable reports under tight deadlines.
    • • Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
