Job Description
Act as technical advisor for PPA specialist / IPP technical contracts scope during developer bid review and RFP/specification preparation. Lead technical due diligence, verify compliance with project/off-taker requirements, identify risks and deviations, prepare clarifications, support technical evaluation, and contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
- Professional registration, chartership, or OEM/utility/off-taker experience is preferred
Additional Information
Required Experience
- 12+ years in IPP procurement, PPA technical schedules, owner’s engineer, utility/off-taker advisory, or EPC contract management
Technical Expertise
- Understanding of IPP/PPA structure; technical schedules; capacity and availability obligations; performance guarantees; liquidated damages; testing and acceptance; dispatch obligations; fuel and water interface; off-taker technical requirements. IPP contract templates, PPA schedules, grid code/off-taker requirements, performance test procedures, reliability/availability definitions, LD frameworks
Commercial/Contract Awareness
- Ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, LD-linked performance clauses, interface obligations, acceptance testing requirements, and developer deviations
