Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and decisive Project Director - Site to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Lead and manage multiple complex construction projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects of project execution on site.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, plans, and schedules to meet client requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of construction
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project management practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 20+ years of experience in construction supervision project management, with a proven track record of successful large-scale project delivery with contracts experience (Experienced practicing Engineer under the Contract role).
  • Extensive experience working in the Middle East construction industry, particularly in Dubai.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai
  • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and optimize resource allocation
  • Excellent risk assessment and mitigation skills
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and stakeholder management
  • Outstanding leadership and team-building abilities
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
