Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Foreman to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Marine Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing marine construction and repair projects, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high safety standards.

  • Lead and supervise a team of skilled workers in marine construction and repair projects
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations to ensure timely project completion
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to guide project execution
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to resolve technical issues
  • Monitor and optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, and completed projects
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and work logs
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices, safety procedures, and new techniques
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in marine construction or shipyard operations
  • Proven track record of successfully managing marine projects
  • Strong knowledge of marine construction and repair techniques
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software
  • Relevant marine industry certifications (e.g., OSHA safety certifications) are a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required by projects
