Job Description
The CAD/BIM Technician Structure will be responsible for carrying out 3D modelling and drafting of structures under the supervision of a Structural Engineer or a Project Manager.
For the Project(s) on which he is assigned,
- Produce 3D models and 2D drawings of reinforced concrete structures, prestressed concrete structures, steel structures, including general and detailed drawings
- Take instructions from the Structural Engineer and create high-quality 3D models and/or technical drawings
- Make use of CAD and BIM tools to produce 3D models and drawings following general and project drawing standards
- Produce and manage CAD and BIM files in a DMS working environment
- Work with a design team and individually on CAD/BIM projects
- Review CAD /BIM models with engineers and make required adjustments
- Attend internal technical meetings with engineers and other draftsmen
- Ensure quality of modelling and drafting deliverables
- Be familiar and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System
The scope of Works covers, but is not limited to:
- Bridge and viaduct structures
- Elevated station structures
- Port structures
- Track work
- Other civil structures
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Construction / Civil / Structural engineering
- Appetency for infrastructure modelling and drafting
- Basic understanding of structure design, materials and construction processes
- Good reasoning thinking skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to work in an international context – Good level of English (speaking & writing)
- Ability to work under pressure with good working attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
