Job Description

EDC is seeking two part-time Graphic Design Associates - Casual to join the Digital Design Group (DDG), our in-house creative studio. This roles will report to the Creative Director and broader leadership team to deliver polished, on-brand design across a range of formats.

This team supports a wide range of internal and external partners with high-quality, mission-driven design and product development.

EDC casual employees generally work as needed.  A casual position receives statutory benefits of Social Security contributions, Medicare contributions, unemployment insurance, worker’s compensation insurance and sick leave.  A casual position ends when work is complete.

This is a fast-paced role ideal for designers who are comfortable independently executing new design concepts and within established brand systems, managing multiple deadlines, and collaborating remotely.

Duties include:

  • Design of print and digital projects, including, but not limited to documents, reports, presentations, social media assets, event collateral, infographics, email assets, websites, and videos
  • Collaborate with senior leads and project managers to understand the scope, expectations, budget and timeline for each product deliverable
  • Work and adapt from existing concepts, branding guidelines, and templates to create cohesive, consistent, high-quality deliverables
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and accurately, including copy edits and multiple design revisions
  • Proven ability to work in a creative and collaborative environment while simultaneously managing multiple deadlines, clients, and projects

Qualifications

This position requires strong visual design skills and educational achievement; excellent writing skills; demonstrable initiative, creativity, and flexibility; ability to work independently and also effectively in groups; and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. A portfolio of previous work is required.

  • Strong visual design skills with a clean, professional aesthetic
  • Experience producing both print and digital assets
  • Comfort creating new concepts, and working within established brand systems
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment
  • Strong time management and responsiveness for quick-turn projects
  • Leverages AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, support rapid iteration, and enhance creative problem-solving throughout the design process.

Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience (agency or in-house)
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and production skills across formats
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma, including Figma Make
  • Working knowledge of Google Slides, PowerPoint and Word for client-facing materials
  • Experience sourcing and selecting on-brand imagery
  • Attention to detail

Helpful but not required

  • Motion graphics or basic animation
  • UX/UI or web design experience
  • Illustration skills
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508 / WCAG)

This position offers an anticipated base hourly range of approximately $70 to $80. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
