Project Description 

The TEACH FOR TOMORROW activity’s overall goal is to support improved teaching of the reformed curricula at the primary level by qualified, incentivized, and continuously developed teachers; and furthermore, to institutionalize a Continuous Professional Development system that adapts to Egyptian educators’ evolving professional development needs.  ICT is an important aspect of this national-level reform.

The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for technical leadership, administrative oversight, and overall coordination of the project. The COP will serve as the principle institutional liaison with USAID and the GOE. They will manage staff and ensure that the project meets stated goals and reporting requirements, as well as ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the Project. The COP should have demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage diverse teams to deliver impact within agreed timelines and budget.

The Chief of Party must be a senior professional with the following minimum set of qualifications: 

Education:  

A Master’s degree in Public Policy, Education, International Development or a relevant field from an internationally recognized university.  PhD preferred.

Skills and Experience:  

• A minimum of ten years of professional experience in the successful implementation of international development programs, including substantial experience in leading complex education reform and/or system designs projects at pre-university level; 
• A proven leadership in the administration of similar sized international donor technical assistance projects; 
• Experience in Egypt strongly desired; and 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.  

Language:  

Fluency in English is required.
