Job Description

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is looking for compassionate, motivated Personal Care Assistants to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll support students in our partnered charter school program, providing individualized behavioral and educational support to help each child reach their full potential.

Our charter school program serves school-age children with IEPs who benefit from one-on-one or small-group support. You’ll work closely with a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) to implement Positive Behavior Support Plans, collect data, and teach meaningful, functional replacement skills that promote independence and success.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement strategies and interventions outlined in students’ Positive Behavior Support Plans

  • Collect behavioral data and assist with progress monitoring

  • Support classroom instruction and promote positive engagement

  • Teach and reinforce communication, social, and self-regulation skills

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create a nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience or interest in working with children with developmental or behavioral needs

  • Ability to follow behavior plans and use positive behavior strategies

  • Flexibility to work one-on-one with a student or in a classroom support role

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field and/or completion of a 40 hour RBT training course
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior preferred.
  • CPR/First aid certification preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is required for possible travel to additional school sites.
