Job Description

WHAT DOES A STRATEGIC PLANNER DO?

The Strategic Planner has a solid understanding of their client’s business and demonstrates critical thinking and confidence while distilling research and data analytics down into meaningful insights and strategic recommendations. They have the courage to take ownership and can produce quality deliverables over multiple assignments, often concurrently. Framing, exploring and reframing are the keys to solving complex business challenges, in addition to clearly articulating the thinking behind the work, ideas, POVs and why it makes sense for our client’s business. The Strategic Planner is an engaging storyteller with effective communication skills, someone that has the ability to convince, inspire and motivate our clients and peers, while leveraging an appropriate mixture of facts, logic and enthusiasm to persuade.     

The EVERSANA INTOUCH Strategic Planner is an idea generator who is always looking for new solutions and innovative approaches to our client’s problems, and they are constantly striving to understand and mentor others on new technologies and opportunities beyond the client’s ask.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:  

  • Independently produces client-ready documentation, seeking senior-level review as needed.  

  • Participates in client meetings as needed and may present their materials to internal teams without prior review; may be asked to present planning material to clients with consent from Account leads.  

  • Understands and starts to impact agency planning process, associated deliverables and correct utilization of research resources.  

  • Proactively screens the marketplace for news (e.g., tech, research, insights, competitors, account, social, creative, etc.) and shares this inspiration with the Planning team.  

  • Supports senior Planning staff in the development of POVs and exploration of new strategic approaches.  

  • Demonstrates great initiative and energy in pursuing strategic assignments.  

  • Able to confidently explain a strategic approach, source data and/or provide solid rationale to support an idea of strategy.  

  • Proactively engages with the Planning and greater project team, while always seeking to contribute and collaborate.   

  • Always brings a positive, problem-solving attitude. 

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.  

  • All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor’s degree required  

  • 2-5 years agency, planning, digital, healthcare or related experience.  

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.  

  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles, methods and techniques.  

  • Solid analytical skills.  

  • Curious and passionate about understanding and researching the behavior of the healthcare consumer and the physicians that treat them.  

  • Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture where creativity and data are both highly valued.  

  • Good fun to have around
