Job Description
EVERSANA is expanding its Salesforce delivery capacity as part of the AI Hub initiative — and doing so with a new expectation: developers work AI-first. The Sr. Salesforce Developer — AI-Augmented builds and ships Salesforce Health Cloud (ACTICS) features while using AI development tooling as their primary way of working and consuming the agents produced by the AI Hub Center of Excellence.
This is a senior hands-on Salesforce role for someone who is fluent in Apex, LWC, and SOQL and is energized — not threatened — by AI-accelerated development. The role delivers roadmap features faster by pairing strong Salesforce engineering with AI-assisted coding, test generation, and COE-built workflow agents. Both FTE and contractor variants of this role exist; responsibilities are identical.
Mission: Deliver Salesforce Health Cloud features on the ACTICS roadmap, accelerated by AI-first tooling and COE-built agents — at a higher velocity and quality bar than traditional development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Salesforce Delivery
- Design, build, and ship Salesforce Health Cloud features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Flow, per the ACTICS roadmap.
- Build and maintain Salesforce integrations via REST APIs and Platform Events, coordinating with the MuleSoft integration team.
- Deliver against sprint commitments in a parallel-track delivery model with compressed timelines.
AI-Augmented Practice
- Use AI development tooling — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot — as primary daily tooling, not as an optional aid.
- Consume COE-built agents (intake automation, missing-information workflow, QNCR reporting, workload queue intelligence) within Salesforce workflows.
- Practice test-first AI prompting: generate and validate unit tests and Apex test coverage with AI assistance.
- Validate all AI-generated code against ACTICS quality standards before commit; treat AI output as a draft to be reviewed, never as final.
Collaboration & Quality
- Pair with the AI Solutions Engineer on Salesforce-side agent integration and on exposing Salesforce data and actions to agents safely.
- Contribute reusable prompts and patterns to the shared prompt/pattern library, and provide feedback that improves COE agents.
- Participate in code reviews — both giving and receiving — with attention to the correctness of AI-generated work.
- Uphold PHI/HIPAA handling standards in all Salesforce and AI-assisted work.
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex, LWC, and SOQL.
- Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or a comparable Salesforce industry cloud.
- Experience building Salesforce integrations (REST APIs, Platform Events, external services).
- Demonstrated use of — or strong readiness to adopt — AI-assisted development tooling (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Einstein for Developers).
- Sound understanding of prompt engineering for code generation and of how to review AI-generated code critically.
- Comfortable delivering in a fast-paced, compressed-timeline, parallel-track environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.
- Healthcare, life-sciences, or Patient Services domain experience.
- Exposure to AI agents, RAG, or LLM-based workflows in a development context.
- MuleSoft or DataWeave familiarity.
Tools & Stack
- AI development: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Einstein for Developers.
- Salesforce: Salesforce Platform, Health Cloud, ACTICS.
- Integration: MuleSoft / DataWeave.
- Lifecycle: Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA.
First-Year Success Measures
- Consistent delivery of ACTICS roadmap features at the team's AI-accelerated velocity targets.
- AI development tooling used routinely, with measurable contribution to code-generation and test-automation metrics.
- COE-built agents successfully integrated into Salesforce workflows for at least the priority use cases.
