Job Description
As a Senior .NET Backend Developer, you will work closely with Solution Architects, Application/Technical Architects, and Business Analysts to design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions.
You will be a key member of the development team, primarily responsible for developing backend application services and RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in software architecture, Domain-Driven Design, and design patterns, with the ability to translate complex functional requirements into well-designed technical solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Participate in requirement discussions, technical design sessions, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Translate functional and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and software design principles when developing enterprise applications.
- Implement appropriate creational, structural, and behavioral design patterns.
- Develop maintainable data access solutions using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
- Follow coding standards, architectural guidelines, and software development best practices.
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize backend application and API performance.
- Participate in research, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical demonstrations.
- Collaborate with architects and development teams to continuously improve application architecture and code quality.
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- 7+ years of relevant software development experience, with strong hands-on backend development expertise.
- Strong expertise in C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend application services.
- Strong experience with Entity Framework Core (EF Core).
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Strong understanding and practical implementation of Clean Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
- Practical experience implementing Repository Pattern.
- Strong understanding of creational, structural, and behavioral design patterns, including:
- Factory Pattern
- Facade Pattern
- Chain of Responsibility Pattern
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and loosely coupled backend applications.
- Experience with unit testing and code quality best practices.
- Good experience working with Git and Azure DevOps.
- Ability to understand functional requirements, convert them into technical requirements, and independently implement solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with microservices and distributed application architecture.
- Experience with API security and authentication frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional or technical certifications are preferred.
