Job Description

WHAT DOES AN EXPERIENCE DESIGNER DO?

Experience Designers are strategic systems thinkers and hands-on makers who sit at the intersection of strategy, craft, and implementation—ensuring work not only looks great, but functions seamlessly across digital touchpoints.

Guided by curiosity and a drive to stay at the forefront of evolving technology, automation, and efficient ways of working, they thrive in ambiguity and bring an ambidextrous mindset to their contributions. Experience Designers embrace continuous learning and collaboration, contributing to a culture of shared growth, innovation, and collective improvement.

They work fluidly across digital mediums, with skills spanning motion, modular builds, and design systems. Partnering closely with Creative and UX from project initiation, they translate vision and assets into brand-aligned, best-practice digital experiences that account for user needs and channel-specific nuances.

Experience Designers typically have approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience (or are otherwise early in their career) and contribute to the team through:

  • Design Solution Development: Generate, evaluate, refine, and iterate medium complexity design solutions, with a strong grasp of key design principles (interaction design, a strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy).
  • Trend Awareness and Integration: Stay abreast of the latest design trends and technologies, integrating them into strategic, user-focused designs that align with project goals and timelines.
  • Autonomy and Time Management: Demonstrate autonomy through effective time management and organizational skills, and the ability to balance independent work with collaborative team efforts.
  • Teamwork and Feedback Integration: Collaborate closely with brand and UX team members, integrate feedback, and ensure design excellence, clarity, and user-centric focus.
  • Technical Proficiency and Collaboration: Confidently navigate a variety of development platforms, partnering closely with front-end developers to ensure design performance across different devices and frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as an interaction (IxD), UI (VxD), or UX designer required.
  • Proficiency in current design and prototyping tools (Figma) and ability to learn new ones as projects require.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Driven by user-centered and design thinking methodologies and fluent in best practices for usability and accessibility.
  • Has basic exposure to HTML and CSS and understands their purpose and function
