Job Description

What Does a Senior Developer (AEM) Do?

We are seeking a senior-level professional developer with demonstrated expertise in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform to create and foster a collaborative partnership with client technical staff. The Senior Developer must have a comprehensive understanding of application development in multiple platforms and frameworks, including AEM and others. As a senior position, this person should have strong leadership skills and be able to manage all facets of project development. 

The person in this role will interact with technical and non-technical members of the project and client teams to manage work expectations and resourcing and provide subject matter expertise for technical assistance. In addition to writing standards-based, high-quality code, this person will provide technical assistance to the IT and Brand Management teams and identify new solutions for projects that align with clients’ goals and objectives for new tools and technologies.

The Senior Developer will oversee changes to existing web applications as well as development and implementation of new applications. This includes coordination of resources, development of timelines and communication with other teams. In addition to identifying solutions to fix issues or errors with the applications, this person may also be responsible for designing new solutions. The Senior Developer will oversee the team’s unit and stress testing of applications and collaborate with the QA teams. They will also be accountable to maintain project documentation and overseeing project source code management. 

Qualifications

What Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, and/or equivalent experience in the software development industry 
  • 5-7 years of software development experience, including web content management system experience working with one or more CMS packages such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) version 6.1+ 
  • Adobe AEM (6.1+) Developer Certification is a plus 
  • Strong experience with AEM architecture and infrastructure, including significant experience in component development and integration of AEM with third-party services  
  • Strong understanding of the development and deployment process within AEM, including automated build processes using Apache Maven, Jenkins and Artifactory 
  • Strong Java/J2EE/JSP experience, minimum 4 years developing large system applications 
  • Working knowledge and understanding of JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML and CSS 
  • Proficiency coding object-oriented JavaScript that leverages frameworks such as Angular and jQuery  
  • Strong understanding of the base templates and components provided by AEM using HTL (formerly Sightly) 
  • Strong understanding of external service integration with AEM websites 
  • Experienced back-end developer  
  • Proficient with object-oriented design and programming 
  • Applied knowledge of unit testing 
  • Demonstrated understanding of code optimization and software design principles and system development lifecycle 
  • Proficiency with source control tools such as Git and TFS 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines 
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and communicate status to both technical and non-technical project members 
  • Experience with full stack development and working with the .net framework, C#, ASP.Net and SQL is a plus

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $76,000 to $130,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
