Job Description

WHAT DOES A SR MANAGER, STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT DO?

Our EVERSANA INTOUCH Business Development department (officially known as Strategic Development) is a team of big-picture thinkers, opportunity seekers, multi-taskers, and orchestrators. Our goal is simple: grow relationships and bring to life opportunities for EVERSANA INTOUCH.

In this role, you will work alongside a team to support efforts focused on nurturing prospects, analyzing business data, and supporting a team for attracting new opportunities to meet our goals. This position requires both a strategic and an analytical viewpoint in addition to demonstrating strong attention to detail. Executing assignments independently and through to completion, navigating and prioritizing multiple assignments, collaborating with others, and showing organizational prowess are key. Strong communication skills are inherent. The ideal candidate is expected to have hands-on expertise in business analysis, CRM data oversight and reporting, and sales material/content creation.

From a people perspective, this candidate should have a genuine interest in others, a love for problem solving, grit, a sense of curiosity, nimbleness to work in an exciting yet fast-paced environment, and should enjoy collaborating with dynamic teams. Business Intelligence/Analysis

Think strategically about the business; produce intelligence dossiers for the Strategic Development team, covering topics such as landscape monitoring, company analysis, target research, client research, industry events, and ongoing industry news.

Data Oversight/Analysis/Reporting

Ensure integrity across team-captured CRM data; help develop new processes in support of data compliance. Manage the retrieval, compilation, and analysis of key reports, keeping a close eye on data accuracy.

Support via sales enablement asset and tools

Become the go-to person with regard to sales enablement assets, content, and tools in support of upleveling presentations; build and assist in crafting new content.

Day-to-day management of the internal Strategic Development team process

Manage our specific team’s internal initiatives with processes, ensuring that all steps along the way are completed and any roadblocks for the team are flagged to be removed.

Support Sales Activities Planning and Tactical Execution

Actively contribute to the agency’s Strategic Development initiatives and activities, developing new content and client experiences. Actively participate by bringing new ideas, developing materials to support sales activities, analyzing the results of programs and initiatives, and recommending ways to optimize and make adjustments.

Support conference and activities management

Be involved in Strategic Development team activities before, during, and after conferences and sales activities that build relationships, generate leads, and attract new opportunities.

Details:

  • Reports to the VP, Strategic Development; works directly with several Strategic Development team members across our various offices.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
  • Sometimes, evening and weekend work — but always with consideration of your life outside of work. While we thrive on being busy, we have balance in our lives!

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of business development or sales experience
  • Minimum 3-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • VERY high level of interpersonal and communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Inherent critical and strategic thinking
  • Strong people skills and high emotional IQ
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • High attention to detail with lean, mean organizational ways; keen on quality and keeping work in tip-top shape
  • Action-driven — sense of urgency is a really big deal
  • Good references — being highly recommended is a very good thing
  • Partnership — ability to work with cross-functional teams; proven relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; provide direction to others when appropriate; manage up, down, and sideways
  • Demonstrated understanding of people and how to engage/motivate teams, leading with empathy and trust
  • Experience in CRM software and technology tools, such as Salesforce
  • Expertise using PowerPoint and clearly articulating findings/presenting solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Analytics, or related field; OR equivalent professional work experience

This role reports to the VP, Strategic Development.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $111,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
