Job Description

EVERSANA is looking for a strong Player Coach/Nutritional Sales Specialist to join our team to launch and promote new product(s) to Health Care Providers within assigned geography. The PC/NSS is responsible for leading a team of representatives, driving sales performance, and actively contributing to sales efforts.  The PC/NSS is expected to maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers within the targeted geographies.  This position is ideal for an experienced sales professional who possesses exceptional leadership, sales and mentoring skills. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As a Player Coach/Nutritional Sales Specialist, you will:

  • Recruit, interview and select a team of 5 Nutritional Sales Specialists
  • Lead and direct a team of Nutritional Sales Specialists, ensuring that they are well-trained on product knowledge, sales skills, market conditions, strategy and tactics, corporate policies and procedures, and business planning models.
  • Ensure sales representatives have direct accountability for their given geography and clearly understand performance expectations.
  • Point of contact between the client and Nutritional Sales Specialists providing updates to leadership on ongoing business activities and market trends
  • Conduct field travel with each Nutritional Sales Specialist
  • Assess NSS’ skills and coach for improvement
  • Hold Nutritional Sales Specialists accountable for all assigned administrative work (CRM entries, expense reports, etc.)
  • Successfully completes all assigned training for the Representative role as well as dedicates the necessary time to both retain and build the on foundational product and clinical training.
  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. in order to meet or exceed those objectives.
  • Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation in order to continuously improve sales performance.
  • Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectations and challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships and to achieve win-win agreements between client and customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Continuously build understanding on customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share this market intelligence information with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment, to anticipate environmental changes and challenges and to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
  • Differentiate client’s value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates in order to maximize brand performance.
  • Develop and execute business plans to meet and exceed sales objectives set forth by the client
  • Consistently demonstrate a high sense of urgency, follow-up and maintain integrity in all business interactions.
  • Attend client POAs, National Sales Meetings or other meetings as necessary. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university required
  • Clinical experience as a Registered Dietician strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences sales role, ideally within the healthcare/pharma industry; completion of leadership development program or similar preferred; management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful performance
  • Ability to learn, comprehend and apply medical, scientific, and commercial information to drive increased product utilization among assigned customers
  • Solid communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Offers innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges.
  • Provides impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipates and responds to changes.
  • Influences others & is viewed as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
