Job Description

THE POSITION:

  • Leads a wide range of HEOR projects with a strong team and client-facing focus. Key project types could include global or U.S. health economic modeling, evidence synthesis (e.g., ITCs), U.S. retrospective RWE studies, and value communications.
  • Contributes to a variety of business development and operational initiatives, such as proposals, capabilities presentations, administering employee evaluations, participating in hiring activities, and company strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Setting project strategy and overseeing work
  • Supporting business development (e.g., through capabilities presentations, repeat business)
  • Leading development of proposals and responding to RFPs/RFIs
  • Delegating activities to and supervising junior staff and contractors
  • Empowering project team members to take positive action and accountability for their work
  • Identifying and resolving issues/conflicts within project teams
  • Proactively managing potential challenges, and devising contingency plans
  • Overseeing/implementing quality control activities
  • Ensuring timely billing of projects
  • Performing post-mortem analyses of completed projects (e.g., duration, budgets)
  • Effectively leading all client meetings without senior support
  • Developing own client base
  • Seeking feedback regarding client satisfaction
  • Identifying the need for and development of best practices and tools for project execution, project and employee management, and training
  • Contributing to/making decisions regarding company direction, staffing, and workload
  • Identifying need for additional staff and/or consultants
  • Providing effective mentorship to new employees and as needed to other employees
  • Participating in hiring process (e.g., creating/refining job ads, reviewing applications, conducting screening and full interviews, checking references, making offer decisions)
  • Attending regular management meetings to discuss proposals, project status, staff allocation and needs, project conflicts, and other operational activities
  • Overseeing operational activities (e.g., groups, committees)
  • Identifying opportunities for and devising strategies to achieve company/project efficiencies
  • Administering employee reviews
  • Developing, administering, and monitoring performance improvement plans
  • All other duties as assigned

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
    • Overtime and/or weekend/evening hours may be required to meet project deadlines

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

 

 

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • MSc or PhD university degree in a medical- or mathematics-related field such as biology, epidemiology, pharmacology, health economics, or statistics
  • 12-15 years of direct work experience in health research, health economics, or a related field
  • Ability to drive substantial revenue through connections and leadership
  • Proven success working with a wide range of HEOR projects
  • Technically competent with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with SalesForce, D365, Kantata would be an asset
  • Proficiency with computer programming software (e.g., VBA) or other role-related software (e.g., EndNote, R) is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong strategic, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to lead department or large teams including strategy, bus development, revenue targets, and hiring plan
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a sometimes high-pressure environment
  • Ability to adapt to shifting internal and client-related priorities/timelines
  • Ability to manage personal and project team members’ time across multiple competing projects
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with peers, senior management, and clients
  • Ability to effectively supervise, train, and mentor junior employees
  • Ability to provide strategy for and advice on other team projects
  • Proven customer focus, with the ability to maintain strong business relationships with clients
  • Awareness of and ability to communicate EVERSANA’s services and offerings
  • Awareness of currents trends in the fields of health economics, statistics, data analytics and evidence synthesis, and/or medical writing

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $237,000 to $260,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
