Job Description
THE POSITION:
Project Accountants are finance specialist who manages project finances including revenue recognition, billing milestones, and forecasting. They prepare and maintain revenue tracking analysis for monthly reporting. Project Accountants provide pre-billing information to project managers for review and are responsible to send clients timely and accurate invoices. They effectively communicate with team members and project leads across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
- Monitor and adjust related information in D365 and related ERP systems to ensure accurate revenue reporting and billing.
- Creates and ensures proper alignment of projects with contracts within ERP system.
- Partner with various members in the organization that impact the product to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintains knowledge of billing requirements for all contacts for assigned business(es).
- Interacts with various members of the business units to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Prepares client and project level reconciliations to discuss with Project Leads and raise awareness of budget balances, actuals vs. budget, and monthly billings.
- Coordinates the calculation of revenue and accruals according to corporate and revenue recognition standards.
- Generates and processes client invoices and submits to client for payment.
- Manages justification and validation of time entries, expenses, transfers and write-offs while ensuring appropriate approvals.
- Provides reporting of outstanding client and vendor purchase orders while providing risk analysis accordingly.
- Manages client accruals and rebates.
- Ensure revenue is not over recognized.
- Assist with audits / budgeting / forecasting.
- Beginning of the month review process and verifies data (i.e., rates, sales price) is accurate and adjusts as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Travel - 2-5 days per year
- Hours - 40 Hours per week, 5 days of the week

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Education - Accounting or Finance Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience and/or Training - Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in a finance or accounting department. Familiar with revenue recognition concepts, ability to read and understand a contract for billing requirements, and forecasting. Must have strong general ledger knowledge. Must thrive in a team player environment.
- Technology/Equipment - Proficient in excel, word, outlook. Hands on knowledge of accounting software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and/or Training – Prior project accounting experience.
- Licenses/Certificates - CPA License.
- Technology/Equipment - Prior experience with D365.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $91,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
