Job Description

Territory includes: Chicago, Kansas City – St. Louis, Tulsa – Little Rock – Oklahoma City, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix-Albuquerque, Southern California, North California, Seattle-Portland.

The EVERSANA/Banner Life Sciences  District Business Manager is the first line leader responsible for leading the Key Account Managers in the region. The DBM reports to the Region Business Director. This key/critical field-based leadership role is responsible for hiring, directing, and managing the team - providing leadership to meet and exceed sales goals, establish positive regional culture, and coach/develop/inspire/motivate team members to reach their potential. The DBM will execute our brand strategy while also demonstrating our corporate values and cultural beliefs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our District Business Manager is tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their team.  These results are achieved by: 

  • Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon Specialty targets.
  • Maximize market segment, and team dynamics to drive both top-and bottom-line results.
  • Coach, mentor, educate and develop direct and indirect team members to enhance individual selling skills and elevate overall team performance
  • Effectively plan and conduct plan of action and other meetings with members of the District, Future Region, and Corporate Leadership
  • Manages District budget and overall responsibility for P&L at District level in alignment with Corporate expectations
  • Maintain required technical expertise in order to respond accurately to all questions regarding products, policies, and business-related issues from customers and representatives
  • All other duties as assigned

 PEOPLE LEADER

People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values.  In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:

  • Responsible for and oversee their respective department.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree Required from accredited University/College
  • Experience and/or Training - minimum 2 years of previous experience as a successful Pharmaceutical District Sales Manager
  • Licenses/Certificates - clean driving record, licensed if required in states covered
  • Technology/Equipment Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pharmaceutical Sales and/or Leadership experience in degenerative neurology and/or multiple sclerosis experience is preferred
