Job Description
THE POSITION:
The Executive Director of Strategy & Marketing will be responsible for driving key strategic and tactical product management, market development, and product planning initiatives for a global launch of a novel therapeutic for Alzheimer’s Disease. He or she designs, develops, implements, and analyzes the various marketing strategies used to market and promote this device. He or she will lead the creation of the annual marketing/brand plan based on input from cross-functional teams, partners, and customers. The role will be responsible for overseeing the development of all commercialization tactics, forecasts, and managing internal and external agencies, advertising, and promotion budgets. Works cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the marketing strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Under the guidance of the Chief Commercial Officer, the Executive Director of Strategy and Marketing will have the primary responsibility for the strategic and core marketing deliverables for the medical device. Assist in the development of the brand strategy and annual brand plan based on thorough understanding of customer needs and market dynamics
- Develops and executes brand growth strategies and tactics, including programs that target healthcare professionals and patients. Gains management approval by presenting detailed tactical plans prior to implementation of programs. Leads all aspects of tactical implementation, including timelines, creation of promotional materials, and training of internal stakeholders and field-based professionals.
- Ensures that the brand positioning and messages are consistent across all functions.
- Evaluates effectiveness of strategies and tactics, including development of program success metrics, evaluation criteria, feedback mechanisms and return-on-investment analysis.
- Partner with all key internal stakeholders to ensure strategies and tactics are linked to achievement of critical business objectives.
- Assumes overall brand budget accountability. Develops and manages sales and promotional spend forecasts; works with finance to monitor spending against budget/forecast.
- Develops relationships with key external customers (to include Health Care Providers, Channel Partners, and Advocacy Groups) in order to maintain a thorough understanding of current market conditions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
- All other duties as assigned
EXPECTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Travel (25% team meetings, medical meetings)
- Hours (40 Hours per week)

- Determine Strategic marketing needs for global launch. Determine marketing budget by target launch geography. Manage marketing staff to project goals and EVERSANA performance metrics
- Collaborate with COMPLETE Commercial team to drive the recruitment and retention of top talent for the program (as needed)
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience and/or Training:
- 10+ years of progressive commercial experience in pharmaceutical industry. Consulting experience a plus. Familiarity with commercialization of a neuroscience therapy a plus.
- Strong understanding of commercialization strategies with proven ability to build and lead all facets of a Commercial function.
- Prior commercial experience in both US and global programs.
- Ability to work well within all levels of the organization.
- Results driven.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail in analyses, deliverables, and communications.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; must be able to provide succinct, strategic, and actionable insights to senior executives.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects/work streams.
- Technology/Equipment: Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education - MBA preferred
- Experience and/or Training - New product launch experience, knowledge of FDA marketing compliance, PhRMA Guidelines and the Sunshine Act preferred

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
