Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Senior Accounting Analyst will work collaboratively as a member of the Client Accounting team and is responsible for reviewing, interpreting and disseminating both Client and internal financial information on a monthly basis. This position is also responsible for monthly collaborative support as part of the Client Accounting team during client’s financial close process including daily financial activities for both EVERSANA and its clients. This position will ensure quality service and information is provided to drive financial accountability within the business group and to ensure that financial controls/compliance are being met and followed. The Senior Accounting Analyst will work closely with the Director to ensure that department goals, projects and key performance indicators are being met.

CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the client accounting team to meet monthly close and reporting requirements timely and accurately
  • Obtain detailed understanding of EVERSANA processes and systems to effectively review sop and SOC 1 controls compliance
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to execute on operational and financial improvement initiatives
    • Gather, review and report on EVERSANA financial performance adhering to deadlines in an effective and accurate manner

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:

  • Function as a key member of the client accounting team preparing daily and monthly financial reports, analysis for clients, month-end closing duties, reconciliation of data, financial transactions and metric reporting.
  • Perform reconciliation and review process as needed for client financial transactions
  • Assure a strong internal control environment through the review and audit key controls documented in standard operating procedures (SOP) and SOC 1 to determine compliance and areas of improvement. Support SOC 1 external audits as needed.
  • Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) for the client accounting team to support new or changed programs, system enhancement initiatives and productivity improvement
    • Complete survey, regulatory and tax filing support as needed for EVERSANA and client
  • Assist the VP of client finance and accounting and SVP of finance in supporting commercial sales and marketing efforts through periodic evaluation and financial modeling of margin capture, financial value proposition and pricing/contractual. Track actual performance against expectations and communicate accordingly.
    • Work cross-functionally across the business unit to drive operational and financial improvement using financial modeling and analysis tools
  • Drive financial accountability and visibility with the EVERSANA business unit leaders through accessing Great Plains financials, providing reporting, reviewing financial performance, communicating trends and identifying improvement opportunities. Lead or support improvement initiatives.
  • Provide financial information, insight/analytics and aggregated service area financial and metric views to patient services business line leaders to support their creation, execution and evaluation of effective strategies and operating plans
  • Provide support for the financial planning and analysis during budget and forecasting cycles
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge in the use of financial, database, spreadsheets and/or word processing software applications.
  • Computer proficiencies in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with ability to differentiate between internal vs client communication
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing and operation use: reconcile accounts, records, reports and journal; prepare financial and/or audit statements, schedule and reports; interpreting, apply and explain complex laws, codes, regulations and ordinances
  • Ability to make sound, independent judgments within established procedures; organize own work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines; and communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, subordinates and the general public sufficient to convey information and to receive work direction.
  • Experience with ERP or Pharmacy Operating Systems necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in accounting or business related
  • Healthcare related experience
  • SQL experience
