    Job Description

    We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Planning Transformation Lead / Business Advisor to support a large-scale Tactical Planning Transformation Program.

    Everience is implementing an integrated Tactical Planning capability that brings together Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning and Capacity Planning.

    The role sits at the intersection of planning, supply chain, commercial, finance, operations and IT. It requires someone who combines deep planning expertise with extensive experience in complex planning and supply chain transformations.

    The Role:

    As Senior Planning Transformation Lead / Business Advisor, you will act as the subject-matter sparring partner and trusted advisor to the End-to-End Business Owner Tactical Planning / Head of Planning.

    You will also work closely with the Business Owners for:

    • Tactical Planning & Demand Forecasting
    • Commercial Planning

    You will provide the Business Owners with independent analyses, recommendations, impact assessments and in-depth planning expertise. Your role is to ensure that well-informed business decisions can be made throughout the design, implementation, rollout and continuous improvement phases.

    You will not own the final business decisions. Your responsibility is to ensure that the Business Owners have the right insights, scenarios, risks, options and recommendations to make effective decisions.

    Strategic Advisory:

    • Act as the primary Tactical Planning Advisor to the End-to-End Business Owner
    • Advise on planning processes, capabilities, business rules and operating model decisions
    • Conduct impact analyses related to proposed changes
    • Identify risks, benefits and trade-offs
    • Advise on planning principles, KPIs, governance and policy frameworks
    • Support complex escalations and decision-making
    • Ensure that decisions contribute to broader business objectives and value realization

    Planning Expertise:

    You have strong subject-matter expertise across multiple areas of planning, including:

    • Merchandise Financial Planning
    • Assortment Planning
    • Demand Forecasting
    • Supply Planning
    • Inventory Planning
    • Capacity Planning
    • Integrated Business Planning
    • S&OP

    You will help determine and validate how these planning capabilities should be designed and implemented.

    You will ensure strong end-to-end integration between areas including:

    • Commercial Planning

    • Transport
    • Network Planning
    • Finance
    • IT

    Within the broader logistics environment, planning may cover different resources and modalities, including warehouses, transportation, vehicles and vessels.

    Planning Systems & Implementation:

    A key part of this assignment is the implementation of an integrated end-to-end planning solution.

    We are therefore specifically looking for someone who has not only worked with planning from a business perspective, but who has also been directly involved in implementing complex planning systems.

    You should:

    • Have personally implemented planning systems
    • Understand how planning processes are translated into system functionality
    • Have experience with both implementing and actually working with planning solutions
    • Be able to bridge business and IT
    • Be able to assess whether proposed system configurations meet business needs
    • Have experience in complex enterprise environments, preferably including SAP

    For this senior assignment, we are looking for someone with several years of demonstrable experience and sufficient depth in planning implementations.

    You will ensure alignment between functional stakeholders and the End-to-End Business Owner and support the resolution of cross-functional conflicts and competing priorities.

    In addition to system and process implementation, organizational change plays an important role.

    You will:

    • Assess organizational readiness for new planning processes and ways of working
    • Identify adoption risks
    • Advise on appropriate mitigation measures
    • Support the development of future planning capabilities
    • Help establish clear ownership within the organization
    • Ensure planning outputs align with business objectives and operational decision-making
    • Support the transition towards continuous improvement and further roadmap development

    Performance & Value Monitoring:

    You will remain involved in performance monitoring during and after implementation.

    You will:

    • Monitor planning performance based on agreed KPIs
    • Assess whether implemented capabilities are delivering the desired results
    • Identify optimization opportunities
    • Advise on further capability enhancements
    • Support continuous improvement
    • Contribute to post-go-live stabilization
    • Help further mature the future operating model

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in retail planning, supply chain planning or Integrated Business Planning
    • Demonstrable experience implementing an end-to-end planning solution
    • Strong experience with planning processes and planning transformations
    • Experience with Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning and Demand Forecasting
    • In-depth expertise in at least three of the following domains:
      • Merchandise Financial Planning
      • Assortment Planning
      • Demand Forecasting
      • Supply Planning
      • Inventory Planning
      • Integrated Business Planning
    • Experience with complex Planning Transformation Programs
    • Experience supporting and advising senior business leaders
    • Demonstrable ability to translate complex planning concepts into business decisions
    • Strong knowledge of planning process design, governance and operating models
    • Experience with system implementations within planning, supply chain or logistics
