At EDF, “Success is Personal” – and this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your career your way.
The Opportunity
As a Finance Analyst supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Project, you’ll play a vital role in providing financial insight, governance, and performance challenge across one of Europe’s largest construction programmes. Working closely with Financial Control Managers and senior stakeholders, you’ll contribute to delivering robust financial planning, forecasting, and reporting that underpins strategic decision-making and supports programme success. This is a role where your expertise will directly influence outcomes, ensuring value is maximised and risks are identified early.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based at the #HPC site in Bridgwater, with hybrid working arrangements requiring a minimum of three days per week on site. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across finance, commercial, and project controls, gaining exposure to a complex, high-profile programme environment.
This role offers strong development opportunities for finance professionals, particularly those working towards or holding a Professional Financial qualification or bringing significant industry experience. You’ll be empowered to challenge assumptions, identify efficiencies, and contribute to the financial stewardship of the project. As part of EDF’s broader ambition, your work will help support the journey towards An Electric Britain.

- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Experience supporting and challenging business performance in a commercial environment
- Ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Excel, Anaplan, PowerBI, or similar)

- Providing financial insight and performance analysis to support decision-making within the Site Construction Programme
- Assisting in the governance and financial control of project spend against approved budgets
- Support the Financial Control Managers in strong accountability and providing insightful commentary for other internal and external stakeholders
- Producing cash forecasts and variance analysis to support funding requirements
- Partnering with commercial and project teams to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting
