The Opportunity
As Site Learning & Improvement Lead, you’ll play a critical role in embedding organisational learning and H&S improvement across the HPC site—directly contributing to our mission of An Electric Britain. You’ll lead a team of Learning Coordinators, manage core reporting systems, and ensure lessons learned translate into safer working practices, stronger risk controls and better project performance.

You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to encourage transparency, consistency and proactive safety engagement.
From facilitating investigation‑based learning workshops to developing H&S‑driven KPIs and strengthening our reporting tools, your work will shape systems and behaviours that reduce risk, enhance compliance and support continuous improvement across the project.
Who You Are
We’re looking for an Site Learning & Improvement Lead who excels at collaboration, influence and promoting safer ways of working. To be shortlisted, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong understanding of organisational learning and continuous improvement
- Expertise in KPI development, metrics and data analysis—ideally in a regulated or safety‑critical industry
- Degree‑level education or equivalent experience
- Membership of a professional body (minimum TechIOSH)
- Familiarity with health, safety and environmental practices in construction
To be appointed to this role, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which ordinarily requires UK residency for at least three of the past five years.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and improving project interfaces with reporting and learning systems
- Managing lessons‑learned activities and delivering learning workshops that strengthen safety outcomes
- Driving improvements to the Project Reporting Tool and related processes
- Developing and delivering organisational learning training, with a key focus on safe behaviours and compliance
- Building strong stakeholder relationships to support effective learning transfer and risk reduction
