  • Part-time (0.8FTE - negotiable) position until July 2025, with the potential to extend
  • Based at Port Macquarie office, in addition to working within the community
  • $49.50 - $52.55 p/hour (negotiable subject to quals) + Super + Salary Packaging of up to $18,550

As a Children’s Mental Health Clinician within the YES program, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive case management, psychological therapy, and group work to children and their families, focusing on emotional regulation, impulse control, and interpersonal skills
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental health support across individual, group, and family contexts
  • Conduct holistic assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage transitions in care
  • Participate in case reviews, care planning, and integrated treatment delivery, working collaboratively with other care agencies, educators, and interagency networks
  • Develop and deliver culturally appropriate services, fostering strong relationships with health and welfare agencies and the wider community
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement activities to enhance service provision and outcomes for children and young people

About the program
EACH is the Lead Agency of the Therapeutic Alliance (TA), a consortium of community based, not-for-profit organizations who provide mental health services across the North Coast of NSW through a multidisciplinary, person centered, hub-and-spoke model of care. 

The alliance offers a range of services under the Primary Mental Health Program (PMHP), including Healthy Minds, the Mental Health Nursing Incentive Program, Youth Enhanced Services (YES), Suicide Prevention, Counselling Support, and Low Intensity Mental Health programs.

About you
We are looking for a motivated professional with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of four years’ experience working with children, young people, and families, including those facing moderate to high acuity mental health issues 
  • Expertise in mental health therapeutic approaches (e.g., DBT, ACT) and a solid understanding of trauma’s impact on mental health
  • Competency in mental state examination, crisis and risk assessment, and aftercare planning
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment to achieve program goals
  • Demonstrated excellence in applying relevant theories and practices in youth mental health
