Job Description

The Residential Program Coordinator (RPC) is responsible to coordinate a variety of services including, but not limited to the following: individual finances, activities, program services, family involvement, education/vocational programs, health care/nutrition, and household management. The RPC is also responsible for staff scheduling. The RPC is responsible to assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual care, and communication with staff and support team members. The RPC is also responsible to carry out the responsibilities and duties of direct support staff during all direct care shifts.

  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
  • Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
  • Attend community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
  • Work on tailored outcomes for individuals and work with behavioral guidance plans as needed per person served.
  • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
  • Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
  • Document progress, milestones, and action steps.

Qualifications

What We Look For:

  • 18 years or older to work in residential adult programs and must be at least 21 years or older to work in child foster care homes.
  • A minimum of two years working with individuals with disabilities and/or one-year of lead staff experience or a two-year degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in Residential Services preferred.
  • Must have good decision making, communication, and time management skills.
  • Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions without direct supervision.
  • Experience working with Mental Health/Illness is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by Dungarvin policy. (Proof of valid DL is required).
  • Current auto liability insurance.
  • Computer skills for documentation.
  • Ability to perform personal cares.

Must meet qualifications of an unlimited driver.  The definition of the driving requirement is:

Unlimited driving position -- defined as one that requires an employee to drive a motor vehicle as a part of her/his Dungarvin work, including vehicles owned or leased by Dungarvin, and/or to drive a vehicle in which a person served is transported.

Additional Information

RETENTION BONUS:

The retention bonus is not applicable for current Dungarvin employees. 

Hours Worked:
The duties and responsibilities of this position occur during regularly scheduled shifts, including holidays (if scheduled), and weekend shifts as scheduled. Hours for office time are determined by the supervisor and are scheduled to best meet the needs of the home. The RPC may need to work unscheduled shifts to provide adequate coverage.
