Job Description
The maintenance technician’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all preventive, corrective and renovative maintenance needs of assigned buildings, grounds, and vehicles are completed in accordance with licensure and regulations. This position is also responsible to complete maintenance repairs as necessary.
This position requires the use of computer software applications. Required experience with the following software applications for this position include, but are not limited to; MICROSOFT 365, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, KRONOS, and THERAP.
Hours are generally Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The schedule must be flexible to accommodate unexpected emergency situations, special projects, and routine maintenance needs. The maintenance technician is considered on call at all times in the event of an emergency maintenance need.
Additional Responsibilities:
- To ensure homes, grounds, and property are always well maintained and in good repair.
- Participate in general maintenance planning and capital improvements planning.
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of Dungarvin’s fleet of vehicles.
- Assist in coordinating and securing external vendors for skilled maintenance repairs.
- To ensure an organized, responsible, and controlled manner of acquiring and maintaining all tools, equipment and keys belonging to the organization.
- Ensure maintenance documentation is completed and maintained for all repairs.
- To promote positive teamwork and communications with Dungarvin employees, program management, and external contacts.
- To aid in the development of employment and education initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma/GED equivalent certificate.
- Prior experience desired in building maintenance, including heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical and general repair.
- Must possess the ability to evaluate cost effectiveness and preventive measures.
- Must possess solid communication and decision-making skills.
- Must be responsible, flexible, and able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
