Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL Do:

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) department and staff, and for preparation and review of all standard accounting/department records and reports.  The supervisor is responsible to ensure accurate and efficient accounts receivable processing and compliance with department systems and procedures. Provide timely and accurate information and analysis that will assist the Accounts Receivable Manager to fulfill the mission of the organization.  Directly supervise accounts receivable employees.  Facilitate and promote activities and communications, which consistently emphasize customer satisfaction relative to the states and regions supported.

  • Responsible for accurate, timely, and complete processing of all AR transactions and coding to GL
  • Drive continuous process improvements and new approaches to processes for monthly accrued expenses, processing vendor invoices and identifying coding errors to allow the AR Team to scale with the business
  • Develop team members and provide opportunities for growth
  • Maintain effective relationships with business partners/ vendors through timely and accurate payment and response to inquiries
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of the AR month-end closing process
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, policies, and key performance indicators/metrics, related to Accounts Receivable
  • Responsible for all AR process documentation
  • Lead or participate in special projects to enhance AR technologies

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related discipline.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience including subject matter expertise in Accounts Receivable
  • 2+ years of management experience specifically with performance management, coaching, and developing others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products specifically Excel

NICE TO HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, including systems and process creation as it relates to Accounts Receivable
  • Certified public accountant cert.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics 365), Therap, Minutes, On Base.
