Job Description
As an IT Change Manager / Change Enablement Manager, you will take on a key role within our Enterprise Service Management team. You will help ensure that changes to our IT services, systems and infrastructure are implemented in a transparent, risk-aware and controlled way.
For us, Change Management is not about unnecessary bureaucracy or simply controlling changes. Your goal is to enable change in a safe, efficient and pragmatic way.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and continuously improving our Change Enablement process
- Supporting Change Owners in planning, assessing and implementing changes
- Reviewing Change Records for completeness, risks, impact, testing, rollback planning and required approvals
- Coordinating and facilitating our Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Creating transparency around upcoming changes and maintaining the Change Calendar together with the relevant teams
- Identifying potential conflicts, dependencies and risks between planned changes at an early stage
- Coordinating Standard, Normal and Emergency Changes according to their respective requirements
- Working with IT teams to establish appropriate Standard Changes for recurring, low-risk activities
- Coordinating Post Implementation Reviews and deriving improvement actions from failed or problematic changes
- Analysing relevant metrics and continuously improving our Change Reporting
- Supporting compliance with governance, ISO 27001 and audit requirements
- Creating clear guidelines and templates and helping our IT teams apply the Change process correctly and pragmatically
- Work closely with IT Operations, Service Owners, System Owners, Incident Management, Configuration Management, Cyber Security and other ITSM and ESM functions.
What You Can Expect
You will become part of our Enterprise Service Management team and work at an important interface between IT Operations, Governance and Service Management.
Our ITSM and ESM environment already includes established processes such as Incident Management, Request Management, Change Enablement and Configuration Management, supported by a central Enterprise Service Management platform.
At the same time, we are continuously developing our Service Management capabilities.
Our current and future topics include:
- Standardisation and automation of IT services
- Continuous development of our ITSM processes
- Expansion of reporting and data-driven process management
- Further development of our CMDB and Service Management capabilities
- Stronger integration between systems
- Compliance by Design
- Enterprise Service Management beyond traditional IT processes
This means you will not simply take over an existing process. You will have the opportunity to actively shape the future development of our Change Management and Change Enablement capabilities.
This Role Is a Good Fit for You If …
- you enjoy bringing structure to complex changes
- you believe processes are important, but do not think that more bureaucracy automatically leads to better results
- you can support technical specialists while keeping governance and risk in mind
- you enjoy facilitating discussions, coordinating stakeholders and bringing different perspectives together.
- you want to take ownership and actively develop a central ITSM process.
Qualifications
- You already have experience in IT Service Management, IT Operations, IT Change Management or IT Process Management and are ready to take responsibility for a central ITSM process.
- An ITIL certification as well as experience with ISO 27001, ISMS, IT Governance or audit requirements is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- A good understanding of Change Management / Change Enablement
- Knowledge of the relationships between Change, Incident, Problem and Configuration Management
- Experience working with technical teams and different stakeholder groups
- The ability to facilitate meetings in a structured way and prepare decisions
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent way of working
- A pragmatic approach to processes, governance and standards
- Confident and professional communication skills, even when dealing with different interests and priorities
Your Language Skills
We work in an international environment with distributed teams.
For this position, you therefore need:
- Good German skills, both written and spoken
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
You should be comfortable facilitating meetings, coordinating stakeholders and discussing processes in German while also being able to work effectively in an international English-speaking environment.

Experience with an IT Service Management platform is an advantage, for example:
- Ivanti Neurons for ITSM / Ivanti Service Manager
- ServiceNow
- Jira Service Management
- BMC Helix
- Matrix42
- or comparable solutions
Experience with Ivanti is welcome, but explicitly not a requirement.
For us, your understanding of ITSM processes is more important than experience with a specific tool.
