Job Description
- Prepare, implement, review, and update Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable SHE statutory and regulatory requirements at FTO-SEZ, Process Unit-01.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and effectiveness of fire detection, fire protection, and fire suppression systems throughout the facility.
- Coordinate with the Site Leadership Team in incident investigations and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare, review, and update the Onsite Emergency Plan and conduct mock drills to assess and improve emergency preparedness.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all departments and facilitate timely closure of audit observations through CAPA implementation.
- Conduct safety training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote a safe working environment.
- Plan and execute SHE-related projects as required by the organization.
- Lead and promote SHE awareness campaigns such as National Safety Week, World Environment Day, Road Safety Week, and other safety initiatives.
- Evaluate the safety aspects of new products/processes during introduction and proactively implement appropriate risk control measures.
- Conduct SHE induction training for all new employees, contractors, and visitors as applicable.
- Coordinate the selection, procurement, distribution, and effective use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on risk assessments.
- Implement and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system with a zero-tolerance approach toward violations.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of adequately stocked First Aid Boxes in designated areas across the site.
- Compile, analyse, and maintain site SHE statistics and generate periodic reports for management review.
- Prepare, review, and facilitate implementation of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for routine and non-routine activities.
- Track and follow up on action items arising from SHE Apex Meetings and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate SHE performance data and presentations for BU SHE Apex Meetings, participate in discussions, communicate action points to stakeholders, and provide feedback on implementation status.
