Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at 2278 Washington Road in Washington, United States. As an Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily store operations while supporting and developing our team members to achieve their best performance.

  • Oversee and manage daily store operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve performance goals and maintain high morale
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Manage cash handling, financial transactions, and point-of-sale operations with accuracy and transparency
  • Train, develop, and support new and existing team members through coaching and constructive feedback
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Process customer orders promptly and accurately while managing phone communications
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement company policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives
  • Analyze inventory levels, manage stock control, and contribute to cost optimization efforts
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to meet business needs while considering team member availability and preferences
  • Make sound, decisive decisions in high-pressure situations while remaining calm and focused
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and positive work culture that celebrates team achievements
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide analytical insights to support continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant, food service, or retail management with demonstrated success in a supervisory or assistant management role
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide diverse team members
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and empathetic approach
  • Proficiency in cash handling, financial management, and basic accounting principles
  • Competency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and proficiency in basic computer applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, sound decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and budget awareness
  • Experience with staff scheduling, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance standards in food service operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional management training or certification is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels and demonstrate inclusive leadership
