Job Description

The Shift Supervisor provides full oversight of all operations & maintenance staff at CMI’s site in Kearneysville, WV. Provides knowledge of operating and maintaining facility heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. Responsible for making all critical decisions for contract operations in the absence of the Project Manager.

Key Job Functions

  • Ensure proper operation of the chiller and boiler plant and associated equipment.
  • Inspection and oversight of PM's and mechanical repairs
  • Critical Equipment Condition Assessment Repair and Reporting to Project Manager
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on all building equipment
  • Perform plumbing repairs, toilets, sinks, domestic water system, etc.
  • Prepare and review work scopes and preventative maintenance work schedules.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and senior leadership members.
  • Conduct field walk-throughs and inspections of all HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, cooling and electrical systems, to ensure reliable and cost-effective operation.
  • Make performance improvement and cost saving recommendations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years (within the past 7 years) of O&M supervisory experience
  • Experience managing O&M staff within a federal facility of at least 500k sq feet
  • Journeyman level certification
  • Capable of operating the chiller and boiler plant and associated equipment.
  • Must possess verifiable understanding and experience and troubleshooting repair and replacement of building specific equipment.
