Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment & Logistics, the successful individual will be responsible for providing diversified administrative and recruitment support. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a face-paced, team-oriented environment. 

As a Recruiting Specialist, you will:

Identify available and qualified staff to perform role required at each site accordingly.

  • Ensure all staff tracking systems are maintained and up to date
  • Assist with creating and advertising job postings
  • Attend local and remote career fairs and events as required. 
  • Conduct video interviews to evaluate if the applicant is suitable for hire
  • Complete reference checks on qualified candidates
  • Coordinate Pre-Employment tests
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to capture all recruiting and hiring activity in Smart Recruiter
  • Conduct regular follow-up with Recruitment Manager regarding the effectiveness of recruitment.
  • Create offer letters for successful candidates and notify unsuccessful candidates
  • Maintain up-to-date tracking spreadsheet.
  • Assist in the onboarding process.
  • Training new hire recruiters and or logistics coordinators.
  • Update staffing requests with sites managers, ensuring type form requests are up to date.
  • Create Transportation PO’s as required.
  • Schedule monthly 3rd party transportations as required
  • Update Motive & Fleet Complete GPS to align with driver schedules.
  • Supervise the Recruitment & Logistics team during Managers absence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in workforce management preferred
  • 2+ years of experience recruiting in remote camps and hospitality industry preferred
  • 2 + years of experience in an HR administrative and/or recruitment role
  • Knowledge of full cycle recruiting procedures and practices.
  • Experience working with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is required; experience with SmartRecruiters is considered an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge in recruitment best practice and strategies in order to exercise discretion and good judgment in matters related to full-cycle recruitment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing general and role specific sourcing strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently review and select resumes that meet company requirements for further screening
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Windows based computer systems
  • An understanding of human rights legislation and employment standards is preferred
  • Must be flexible in work schedule to meet business needs, including working outside of business hours and a rotation of on call duties
