Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As an Account Director (Facility Management/Janitorial), reporting to the District Manager, you will provide full oversight of custodial services and leadership of our team of staff. In this role, you will be client facing and responsible for the successful execution of the scope of project as well as delivering on key deliverables for our company, including managing profit and loss, human resources, operational excellence, and the health and safety of our employees.

Your work will include:

  • Recognizes that client retention is an ongoing process embedded in daily actions and attitudes, following the Tenacity Client for Life methodology.
  • Maintains a strong Account-level presence to build and sustain effective working relationships with all clients.
  • Aligns key Dexterra contacts with corresponding roles or titles within the client organization, creating a relationship matrix (Web of Influence).
  • Effectively communicates performance expectations, monitors progress, and rewards achievements to ensure that plans, goals, and budgets are met.
  • Acts as a talent scout by leveraging networks to identify, recruit, and evaluate potential Dexterra candidates.
  • Regularly reviews succession plans and supports career growth through personalized development plans.
  • Employs a strategic selling mindset, utilizing the Miller Heiman sales methodology and process
  • Conducts regular workplace inspections to ensure all operations are running efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations and client expectations. Identifies and resolves issues proactively to maintain service excellence
  • Ensures that health and safety protocols are followed at all times, including conducting inspections to identify hazards and implementing corrective actions where needed

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum of 5 years of operational experience in Integrated Facilities Management, demonstrating proficiency in overseeing various facets of facility operations
  • Awareness of technical elements needed to deliver services support, including familiarity with building systems, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven track record in attracting, developing, and retaining employees, fostering a safe and supportive work environment aligned with organizational people strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate performance expectations, monitor progress, and reward achievements to ensure plans, goals, and budgets are met
  • A clear criminal record check is required for this role.
