WHAT’S THE JOB?
Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.

Reporting to the Manager, HSE NRB Modular Solutions, the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor plays a key role in the day-to-day support in development, planning, analyzing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the NRB Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Working closely with NRB Modular Solutions operations, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders at all facilities, the HSE Advisor is responsible for ensuring that the Dexterra Group HSE mandates and vision is always adhered to and concerns are addressed timely.

Your work will include:

  • Responsible for the HSE management and leadership of all NRB Modular Solutions operations and processes, in alignment with Dexterra Group’s corporate strategy.
  • Provide efficient support of the occupational health, Safety and environment management system to the operational leadership, employees and clients through effective coaching, mentoring, and HSE advising
  • Provide occupational health, safety and environmental support and guidance for the day-to-day activities and functions of NRB Modular Solutions groups.
  • Support internal stakeholders with creating the management systems, programs and initiatives, inspiring safety culture, checking and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with operators, contractors, vendors and other persons to ensure that the HSE mandates and vision are adhered to at all times; any concerns are immediately raised with the NRB Modular Solutions
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates to NRB Modular Solutions Manager, HSE and Operations.
  • Conduct inspections of operated facilities, noting deficiencies and ensuring corrective actions either overtly or inadvertently (coaching and mentoring) are completed.
  • Manage, distribute, and communicate all site Emergency Response Plans (ERPs).
  • Facilitate, train and distribute HSE documentation to NRB Modular Solutions sites and employees
  • Oversee contractor management including review of audits and follow-up with Contractor Leadership.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Completion of a certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, NCSO or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college with a degree or diploma in Environment, Quality or Safety is an asset.
  • Three (3) years of progressive HSE experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Practical experience or knowledge of relevant trade areas (Cabinetry, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing) is an asset.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office 365 programs.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
